CIARA ARMSTRONG

Ciara is a graduate of the Irish College of Music and Trinity College, Dublin, where she obtained a B.Mus. Performance Degree.
Her varied career has seen her perform as the leading soprano in Jury’s Irish Cabaret, a tour of the USA with Tony Kenny, performances in many music theatre productions in Ireland, including The King and I(Olympia Theatre), Buskin’ (Tivoli Theatre/Cork Opera House) Annie (Olympia Theatre) and regular appearances as Lead Vocalist in the National Concert Hall. Ciara has also toured Ireland as vocalist with leading Irish orchestras.
In 1996 Ciara and her husband Stuart, founded the very successful Spotlight Stage Schools and Productions, which are now based in Carlow and Navan. Children from the stage schools have appeared in many theatrical productions at prominent venues including the Olympia, The O2, the Helix, Bord Gais Theatre and the National Concert Hall. They have also appeared regularly in movies, commercials, television (including the coveted RTE Late Late Toy Show) photo shoots, cabarets and US tours. Ciara’s production credits include Cinderella & Jedward and the Beanstalk (Jedward/Linda Martin/Olympia Theatre) Aladdin (Susan McFadden/Olympia Theatre), Jack & The Beanstalk & Cinderella (June Rodgers/Olympia Theatre), Robin Hood (Linda Martin / Noel V Ginnity/ Olympia Theatre) Bugsy Malone (Olympia Theatre). Ciara’s most recent production has been Jedward And The Magic Lamp.
