ABOUT US

Spotlight Stage School is situated in Carlow and Navan .

Offering tuition in all aspects of song dance and drama , from children aged 3 to 18.

We are now entering into our 23rd year in Carlow and 21st year in Navan.

With so many new projects and plans on the horizon, including the opening of this year’s Late Late Toy Show and the Olympia Panto, Polly And The Magic Lamp, Spotlight’s team is more than excited to kick off their new term in September.

Spotlight has become part of the community within Carlow and Navan and last year had the honor of receiving an award from the Lord Mayor Fintan Phelan , acknowledging outstanding work with young people and Spotlight’s contribution to the arts in Carlow.

Throughout Spotlight’s time, they have produced some of the finest talent who have then gone on to work professionally in the entertainment industry.

Children from both schools have had the opportunity of appearing in many major productions both here and abroad on Screen and on Stage.

Directors of Spotlight and producers of The Olympia Christmas Panto in Dublin, Stuart and Ciara have had students from the school taking part in their Panto over the last number of years working alongside many of Ireland’s household names.

Some of Spotlight’s recent highlights include, The Aldi community games campaign, which spread across all media channels including screen, radio and instore, Swipe TV and Twiglets for RTE, ‘Centenary’ celebrating 1916 for RTE, The Voice, Music Inc. The students also make regular appearances throughout the Late Late Show series and have featured many times on the Ray Darcy Saturday Night Show.

Last years opening act of the Toy Show  ‘The Little Mermaid’ featuring Carlow and Navan students was the most watched TV programme in Ireland. Students will soon start work on this year’s opening, the theme of which is a closely guarded secret.

Past and present students are currently appearing in Taylor’s Irish Cabaret at Taylor’s Three Rock in Dublin, featuring Noel V Ginnity. Irish Dreams has just completed another European tour and Spirit of Scotland is still running until October, all produced by Spotlight Director Stuart.
